To seek pleasure and vice
All the comfort of the world would not suffice
To quench the bottomless thirst
But the drink of the universe I waste not
Every drop of knowledge I seek to drink
On every mountain I place my banner
My mark is found on every beast
But what I cannot tame I seek to destroy
I pretend to seek salvation
And in the process bring about destruction
I invoke peace and love
Only to make bigger war
When truth appears before me
That beautiful chaste virgin
I turn a blind eye
And waste my death upon a harlot
When a strong hand delivers me
I seek to destroy it with my cotton swab
I seek to gorge the eyes of the living water
And drink the fire in the burning bush
But love so divine engulfs my heart
And my soul turns to seek life
To shun the waters that parches the truth
And seek the drink that satisfies.
